Dermabrasion
- Effective in reducing fine lines, some age spots, and mild acne
scars.
- Non surgical. Crystals in a gentile abrasion “polish” the skin surface.
- Maximal results range between 5-6 treatments, usually 3-4 weeks
apart. Should have periodic repeat treatments and skin care to
maintain results after initial regimen completed.
- Combining with a chemical peel or MicroLaser Peel can increase
the effect.
- Benefits: no side effects, safe on all skin types and colors,
immediately resume normal activities.
Chemical Peels
- Works by “peeling” away the skins superficial layers to help
sun-damaged, unevenly pigmented skin and fine wrinkles.
- Types of peels:
AHA (alpha hydroxy acids) such as glycolic or lactic acid.
TCA ( trichloroacetic acid) are stronger peels which
penetrate deeper.
- Benefits : AHA no anesthetics, single treatment will improve look
though complete benefit may require multiple treatments due to
superficial level of peel.
IPL (Intense Pulse Light)
IPL is very affective at treating age spots and freckling as a result of sun damage. Some skin tightening can occur with the
Photo-facial technique. There is no down time with this treatment. Generally it will take 2 to 3 treatments to obtain the best result.
Protection from further sun damage will limit skin staining.
